San Agustin Elementary School (formerly Barrio La Huerta Sitio Wawa) is situated approximately three to four kilometers from the town proper of Parañaque. The early settlers of Wawa were mostly from Bulacan with the native comprising the majority. They were simple folks, farmers and fishermen who managed to life decently in spite of the difficulties of living in remote rice field like Wawa. They were hardworking and determined group of people who struggled hard to put food on the table and clothes on their back. Times were hard then.
